Pennsylvania Energy: Driving Environmental & Economic Benefits for the World

Energy development across the Commonwealth and beyond provides opportunities for family sustaining jobs, enhanced environmental progress and a strengthened national security. Across Appalachia, operators produce, process and transport abundant natural gas resources in an environmentally safe manner that is the envy of the world. But the effort to ensure that consumers, manufacturers and our allies continue to have access to this resource requires constant vigilance and advocacy – from workers, from industry, and from our elected leaders.

Thanks to the growth of natural gas development and use across Pennsylvania, the region’s air quality has dramatically improved due to historic reductions in key emissions. In addition, exporting LNG has reduced our nation’s reliance on foreign sources of energy and helped to strengthen our standing with our allies in Europe and beyond. And these exports have spurred job opportunities here in Pennsylvania, driving nearly $200 million in royalties to Pennsylvania landowners just last year, while keeping costs down for consumers and manufacturers.

To explore these and other issues, please join Representative Josh Kail, Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, for an engaging conversation on Pennsylvania energy policy. Representative Kail will be joined by Representative Martina White, Stephanie Catarino Wissman, Executive Director for API-Pennsylvania, David Callahan, President of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, and David Taylor, President & CEO of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association.
